Due to corrosion and poor performance, millions of mild steel exhaust systems are replaces every year.

Automotive exhaust gases are a mixture of carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, unburned hydrocarbons, and moisture.  These gases condense and attack the internal system.  Corrosive salts, moisture along with high temperature deteriorate the outer surface of the exhaust system.
